Volunteer to be a MCBA Mentor
Beginning a law practice is a daunting challenge for newly admitted Barristers, the MCBA Mentoring Program matches our experienced and successful MCBA members with a new Barrister. Our mentees gain valuable advice and guidance on navigating the Marin Superior Courts, networking at MCBA events, or handling a complex case. Mentors are eager to give back to the legal community and share their insight, experience and tips for building a successful law practice in Marin County.

Lawyers in the Library begins October 2016
MCBA needs volunteer lawyers to staff a regular legal clinic, free 20-minute consultations at the Marin County Law Library every second and fourth Thursday of each month from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

Lawyers in the Library will serve people who cannot afford private legal services. Any self-represented litigant living in Marin County or who has a case in Marin County Superior Court is eligible. Volunteer lawyers will facilitate access to information and referrals, and provide legal advice in family, probate, and civil law, and small claims and landlord/tenant matters.

Lawyers in the Library is a collaboration of MCBA, the Marin County Law Library, and the Marin County Superior Court Self-Help Desk.
