Section Labor and Employment Law


The Labor and Employment Section is comprised of a diverse group of members of the Employment Law community. The section provides a forum and offers continuing legal education (CLE) programs for neutrals and management, and labor and employee attorneys to meet and discuss current developments affecting their practices.

In Iqbal v Ziadeh (2017) 10 Cal.App.5th 1, plaintiff was hired by a used car lot, Yosemite Auto, to determine why a car recently towed to the lot wouldn’t start. Unbeknownst to plaintiff, the tow truck operator had disconnected the transmission shift linkage and then failed to reconnect it after towing the car.
