Speaker Information

Gregory R. Shaughnessy

Gregory R. Shaughnessy is a San Francisco Bay Area lawyer focusing on construction, real estate, insurance and commercial litigation. He has served as counsel in disputes and transactions involving major civil and building projects throughout California and the Asia/Pacific region. His clients have included landowners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

Prior to forming the Law Offices of Gregory R. Shaughnessy, Mr. Shaughnessy was of counsel at Thelen Reid & Priest from 1998 to 2006. He has also served as general counsel for the International Division of Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co. Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan from 1996 to 2016, as well as general counsel for Sumitomo Construction America Inc. in Long Beach and Burlingame, California, from 1993 to 1995. He also served as an associate at Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges in San Francisco from 1987 to 1993.
