Your divorce judgment will dictate how retirement benefits should be divided in a QDRO. We will discuss how each account should be divided in the divorce judgment. In particular, we will discuss drafting judgment language for 401(k) plans, drafting judgment language for monthly pension plans, identifying the biggest pitfalls to avoid, and reviewing how to protect survivor benefits.

In addition, COVID 19 has altered the QDRO environment. Due to the economic impact from COVID 19, parties are seeking access without penalty of 401k funds. Louise and Lorrina will briefly discuss the topic of support QDROs in these unprecedented times.
