This program will share the five 1031 exchange rules that may help your clients avoid common 1031 exchange pitfalls as well as an introduction to Delaware Statutory Trusts which are an estate planning tool for real estate investors. Speaker Information

Jamie Furlong

Bangerter Financial Services

Jamie Furlong is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics. Since then, Jamie has worked almost exclusively for startup companies, giving her the talent (and grit) to handle any task that comes her way, and more job titles than she can fit on a one-page resume.

She was integral in the success of several companies including a luxury floral design studio in New York City, an artisanal jam company in Oakland, and an investment real estate firm in Sacramento that she owned with her father. Jamie states that it’s her work in start-ups that has instilled in her a sense of ownership, adaptability, hustle, and entrepreneurship.

In the fall of 2019 Jamie and her father, Patrick, joined their real estate practice with Bangerter Financial, allowing them to continue their work in securitized real estate advising while leveraging the broader financial expertise of the Bangerter team. Jamie believes that everyone deserves to preserve their wealth and hard-earned money, which is why she educates investors on new investment opportunities and strategies that may give you more options and potentially better results.

Outside of the office Jamie is sincerely dedicated to the Sacramento community. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento where she co-chairs the Young Professionals group, co-coordinators the annual Sac Century Bike Ride Fundraiser Party, is a member of the Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees, and mentors through the Youth Incentive Program. Jamie is also a Director on the Board for Sacramento’s CalCPA chapter through which she runs the Emerging Professionals events and co-chairs the much-loved ABC Mixer.

Further, Jamie is a Problem Captain for Odyssey of the Mind, a creative competition for school-aged children. She also contributes signifcantly to the Sacramento Valley Flower Collective as their secretary and project manager. Her other memberships include Commercial Real Estate Women and the Urban Land Institute.
