You will have an opportunity to ask about the EEOC’s charge process, navigating mediations and litigation with the EEOC, and cultivating a strategic game plan.

Ami Sanghvi

The Marek Law Firm

AMI SANGHVI (she/her/hers) is a partner at The Marek Law Firm where she focuses on plaintiff-side employment negotiations and litigations. Ami began her legal career pursuing economic justice for the homeless in New York City through individual and class action representation at a non-profit called the Urban Justice Center. From there she focused her civil rights work on reproductive rights and gender justice issues with the New York chapter of the ACLU. Ami then spent over ten years as a Trial Attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has advised on federal investigations, litigated individual and class cases in federal court through jury trials, and settled cases with meaningful injunctive relief to affect workplace change. Ami is a passionate advocate for employee rights and believes in each person’s unqualified right to enjoy a dignified workplace free from discrimination and harassment.

Ami received her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and her Bachelor’s degree with honors in Sociology from New York University. Ami is a member of the New York and California bars. She is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California.
