Navigating a Civil Jury Trial Post COVID

The April MCBA General Membership Meeting presentation, Navigating a Civil Jury Trial Post COVID, will be held in person on Wednesday, April 26th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.

COVID upended in person trials in the last few years As the courts open back to jury civil trials in person, this program will discuss the new hurdles civil trial lawyers will need to navigate; the increased use of video depositions and remote witness appearances. Trial attorneys Ron Goldman and Brian Graziana will discuss these observations from a recent case held before the Marin Superior Court and provide trial tactics to keep the jury engaged.

Join us for this 'Brown Bag' lunch presentation to be held in the assembly conference room at the Marin County Sheriff's Office, 1600 Los Gamos Dr, Lobby A in northern San Rafael.

Registration and Networking will begin at 11:45 AM. Reminder to bring your bag lunch, drinks will be available.

Ronald P. Goldman

The Goldman Law Firm

Mr. Goldman, a native Californian, graduated cum laude with a political science degree from California State University, Northridge, in 1978. He attended California Western School of Law in San Diego, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1981. Mr. Goldman practiced in San Diego in a personal injury and business litigation firm for four years prior to relocating to San Francisco in 1985. Mr. Goldman began focusing his practice on business law and malpractice defense for physicians and dentists in 1985 while working for several law firms in San Francisco. In 1990, Mr. Goldman formed The Goldman Law Firm, which consists of trial attorneys and associates who primarily defend dentists and physicians in malpractice, business, and employment litigation. The Goldman Law Firm moved from downtown San Francisco in 2001 to its present location in Tiburon, California.

Mr. Goldman has extensive jury trial experience from defending doctors and dentists in malpractice cases throughout California. Given his extensive trial work, he has been elected by his peers into the American Board of Trial Advocates. In addition to malpractice defense work, Mr. Goldman spends a lot of time assisting dentists with their business and employment law needs, such as associate agreements and practice sales.

Mr. Goldman is presently an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Orthodontics, at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, as well as an Assistant Adjunct Professor with the Department of Growth & Development at the University of San Francisco, School of Dentistry. Mr. Goldman lectures at UCSF and UOP several times a year on the subjects of risk management and business law for dentists on a national basis.
