The MCBA Family Law Section announces their September virtual presentation, Parenting Coordination 101, to be held on Tuesday, September 19th at 12:00 PM.

This panel will address the essentials of parenting coordination, from what parenting coordination is, when to appoint a PC, who to appoint, and practical considerations in the appointment process.

***For those that are not able to attend but interested in the post-meeting recording, we require that you Register for the Event. Once the presentation has concluded, if the recording is adequate, we will send it to those that were not able to attend. If the recording is not watchable, MCBA will refund your registration fee. MCBA does not provide CLE for viewing recordings post presentation.***

Andrea Palash

Coats│Palash, LLP

Andrea Palash obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and her law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law. Ms. Palash was admitted to the California State Bar in 1987 and has practiced family law almost exclusively since that time. She is a partner in the San Francisco firm of Coats│Palash, LLP. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist, a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a past President of the Northern California Chapter of the AAML, past co-chair of the Chapter’s Mentoring Committee, an AAML Symposium Co-Chair, and a recurring member of the AAML Trial Practicum faculty. She is a former member of the Family and Juvenile Advisory Committee to the Judicial Council of California and the former Chair of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of California. Ms. Palash is a current member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of California, the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists (ACFLS), and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). Ms. Palash has been a speaker for various AAML (State and National), ACFLS, AFCC, California State Bar, and numerous county bar association programs and has published numerous articles on various topics related to Family Law. Ms. Palash has been named a “Northern California Super Lawyer” by San Francisco Magazine (2004-2022) and as one of the “Top 100 Northern California Super Lawyers” by San Francisco Magazine (2006- 2009) and as one of the “Top 50 Female Northern California Super Lawyers” by San Francisco Magazine (2006-2013; 2016).

Dr. Christine D. Pigeon, Ph.D.

Marriage and Family Therapist

Christine Pigeon obtained her Ph.D. from California Professional School of Psychology in 1987. She has been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1973. She has been in private practice since 1980. She has been a court appointed expert for 40 years including as Child Custody Evaluator, Mediator, Special Master and Parent Coordinator. In addition she worked as a family therapist, divorce coach/consultant, individual and couples therapist to divorced and divorcing families. She has been a speaker on family law issues at AFCC, AAML, and various local bar associations. Her practice is almost exclusively family law clients.
