The MCBA Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Litigation Sections announces:

The Funny Thing About Mediation: A holistic approach to the use of humor for successful outcomes by veteran mediators Phil Diamond and Lucia Kanter St. Amour has now been rescheduled to THURS April 17th.

This important presentation can benefit mediators, litigators, and negotiators in a wide range of specialties, and is appropriate for all interested Bar Members who wish to be enlightened by the presenters’ holistic approach to obtaining successful outcomes.

We all know that it feels good to laugh. Whether it’s watching a funny movie, going to a comedy club, or reading a humorous book, humor has a way of brightening our spirits and helping us to put aside the things that are bothering us. But have you ever wondered why that is? Or why humor is found in virtually all cultures, all over the world?

All MCBA Sections are invited to join veteran mediators Phil Diamond and Lucia Kanter St. Amour for their virtual presentation of THE FUNNY THING ABOUT MEDIATION: A holistic approach to the use of humor for successful outcomes. Phil and Lucia will discuss the neuroscience behind humor and the human brain, how emotions affect behavior and decision-making, and the various ways in which humor may be used in mediation for successful outcomes.

The program will be both educational and entertaining, and all MCBA members are invited to attend. 1.5 hours of Wellness Competence MCLE will be provided.

If you had already registered, your registration will be moved to the new May 15th date. If you are not able to attend on this date but would like to receive the Recording and Handouts, nothing needs to be done. If you are not able to attend on the new date and do not want the Recording and Handouts, please email events@marinbar.org and your registration will be cancelled and refunded.

***For those that are not able to attend but interested in the post-meeting recording and handout(s), we require that you Register for the Event. Once the presentation has concluded, if the recording is adequate, we will send it to those that were not able to attend. MCBA does not provide CLE for viewing recordings post presentation.***

We look forward to having you join us for this joint Sections presentation!
