The March MCBA Litigation Section Meeting virtual presentation, Earning Capacity vs Expected Earnings, will be held on Thursday, March 27th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM via a Zoom Webinar.

Join us for an insightful presentation from Dr. Roman Garagulagian, Economist, with Forensic Economic Services LLC. The discussion will focus on the differences between earning capacity and expected earnings in legal contexts, supported by case law and forensic economic principles.

Time will be reserved for questions and discussions.

Roman Garagulagian, PhD

Forensic Economic Services LLC

Roman Garagulagian is an economist specializing in analytics and complex economic damages. He is experienced in applying economic theory, complex data, and quantitative methods to questions related to litigation. His doctoral dissertation applies advanced machine learning to economics.

Dr. Garagulagian has testified as an expert witness in both deposition and trial in both Federal and State matters. He has assisted several law firms with economic damages for class action settlement funds, mediations, and arbitrations. His experience includes matters in business litigation, employment litigation, and personal injury litigation.

Dr. Garagulagian teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in finance including corporate finance, business forecasting, financial modeling, investments, and financial derivatives. He has taught several courses since 2014 at Cal Poly Pomona’s Department of Finance Real Estate and Law.
