Directions to Lobby Conference Room at 1050 Court Street (cross street is Fifth Avenue), in downtown San Rafael: Please enter the building to access the lobby conference center on the ground floor of the building on the residence side, not the offices side. Follow the directions for the delivery of packages to be buzzed into the conference room, which is in the building's leasing center.

Shelley D. Clark

Epstein Holtzapple Christo LLP

Shelley Clark is an associate at Epstein Holtzapple Christo LLP specializing in trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation. Shelley enjoys assisting clients to navigate the complex world of probate through clear communication and in-depth factual and legal analysis. She has been practicing in this area for three years and continues to enjoy learning something new (almost) every day!

Shelley is a Mississippi native and graduated from Ole Miss in 2011. In 2016, she graduated with a joint degree from Pace Law School and the Yale School of the Environment. She began her legal career at legal services organizations, including Legal Aid of Marin, focusing on housing law and policy.

She is a past president of Marin County Women Lawyers and served on her local planning commission. She lives in Fairfax with her husband, two young children, and dog.

Brett K. Rhodes

Chief Deputy Public Administrator for Marin County / Attorney / Associate Faculty

Brett has served as the Chief Deputy Public Administrator for Marin County since 2016, overseeing Estate and Trust Administration matters. He is also an attorney and a member of the Executive Board for the California State Association of Public Administrators, Guardians, and Conservators.

A California native, Brett earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Law and a Master’s in Public Administration from Sonoma State University. He completed his Master’s in Legal Studies and Juris Doctor at Empire Law School in 2015. He is licensed to practice law in California, as well as before the U.S. District Court for Northern California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Brett is an Associate Professor at Santa Rosa Junior College, where he trains new law enforcement cadets at the regional police academy. He also frequently serves as an instructor for the California State Association of Public Administrators, Guardians, and Conservators, and the National Business Institute (NBI).
