Alexandra 'Lexi' Mussallem

Alexandra (“Lexi”) Mussallem graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1992, receiving a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in Latin and Classical Literature. From 1989 to 1990, Lexi participated in the University of California Education Abroad Program studying in Bologna, Padua, and Venice, Italy. After graduating from UCLA, she returned to Bologna, Italy to live and work. Lexi graduated in 1996 from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.
Lexi was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1997 and has practiced family law exclusively since her admission. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist, California Board of Legal Specialization, a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (“AAML”), a current board member of the Northern California Chapter of the AAML, past co-chair of the AAML Symposium, chair of the AAML Trial Practicum, and a member of the AAML Trial Practicum Faculty. Lexi is a current member of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Marin County Bar Association, and the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists. Lexi has been named a “Northern California Super Lawyer” by San Francisco Magazine (2014-2024).
Over the course of her twenty-seven year career, Lexi has developed a practice that focuses on the myriad of ways in which complex financial issues present themselves in the field of family law. She specializes in complex property division, child support, spousal support, post-judgment support modifications and enforcement, and prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements. She has extensive experience with diverse compensation and corporate structures, including general and limited partnership interests, LLC membership interests, incentive and non-qualified stock options, and restricted stock units. She has represented owners and employees, or their spouses, of both public and private companies.
Lexi’s has a thriving litigation practice. Her litigation practice involves pre-trial, trial, discovery, and motion work. In addition, over the last ten years, Lexi has refined her alternate dispute resolution skills serving clients as a family law mediator, a consulting attorney to clients in mediation, and a private settlement judge. Lexi is an AAML Trained Mediator having completed the intensive mediation training sponsored by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (“AAML”) in 2022.
Lexi regularly volunteers for the Marin County Superior Court in the Bench/Bar Settlement Conference program and for the San Francisco Superior Court in the Settlement Master program. She has also served as an arbitrator for the Marin County Bar Association's Fee Dispute Arbitration Program. Lexi is fluent in Italian.
Romy S. Taubman

Romy has been a partner with Taubman Dias Dominguez LLP (formerly Greene Jordan Taubman & Dias) since 2010. Romy S. Taubman was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1993, and has focused solely on family law since 2008. Romy is the 2025 President of the Northern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is certified as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California. Romy has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” since 2016.
Romy received her B.A. in American Studies from Stanford, with distinction, in 1989. She graduated Order of the Coif from UCLA law school in 1993, and then clerked for the Honorable Judge Mariana Pfaelzer in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. In 1994, Romy began in private practice as a corporate securities and mergers and acquisitions/public offerings attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto. She moved to Japan in 1998, and worked as a corporate attorney in Japan for a number of years, before returning to California. In 2008, Romy transitioned from corporate law to family law.
Romy's legal background, involving complex business transactions, gives her added skills that she brings to the financial issues that arise in family law. She has handled many cases which require specialized understanding necessary to address businesses jointly owned by divorcing spouses. She is knowledgeable regarding the division of the myriad of salary and equity structures in today’s business world, including general and limited partnership interests, LLC membership interests, common stock, preferred stock, ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, PSUs, etc.
Romy’s practice is wide ranging. She represents clients in litigated matters, serves as a mediation consultant, and is an experienced mediator. In any of these roles, Romy’s goal is the same: to help her clients attain an effective, efficient and economical resolution, whether through settlement, mediation or trial. Romy has extensive experience in conducting successful settlement conferences on complex financial and other family law issues.
Romy is a past Commissioner for the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Marin County Bar Association. Romy volunteers regularly for the Marin County Superior Court Bench Bar Settlement Conference program.
