MCBA Member Luncheon |
A Conversation with Retired California Supreme Court Justice Kathryn M. Werdegar |
Attend an unusual opportunity to hear Retired Justice Werdegar, a former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of California, serving from June 3, 1994, to August 31, 2017. Justice Werdegar will reflect on her experiences during her tenure on the bench. As the only female on the 19-member First District Court of Appeal when appointed to it in 1991, she served as one of four women on the seven-member state high court until her retirement. She served under three Chief Justices: Malcolm Lucas, Ronald M. George, and Tani Cantil-Sakauye. The program offers an engaging conversation of her tenure under each Chief Justice and insights to a contrasted past against today’s realities.
Register now to join us for the MCBA's Fall Lunch Conversation with Retired Judge Werdegar.
Registration and Networking will begin at 11:30 AM, the Presentation begins promptly at 12:00 PM.

Have you joined our MCBA List Serv? |
Many of our members have opted in to participate in the MCBA List Serv. Do you know what it is and have you signed up?
What is a list serv?
The list serv is a platform to ask relevant practice questions and receive answers from colleagues, post legal updates relevant to the membership, post job opportunities, employment needs or to let members know of upcoming events.
Benefits
The list serv platform can be a powerful shared member tool providing additional resources and benefits. Members can opt to aggregate the list serv messages to one email the next day or receive emails when messages are posted. Each member can also unsubscribe. The default is to receive list serv messages when there is a posting.
Who Can Use It
Only MCBA Members who have opted in. Members misusing the List Serv will be removed from the participation list. The List Serv cost are currently being underwritten by MCBA and there will be a SPONSOR header in the future to support the costs of running the platform.
Ground Rules
What the list serv is NOT USED for:
Self promoting your practice or business (although requests for referrals, or self-referrals in response are ok). Using it as a platform for political statements and canvassing. Posting content that is deemed inappropriate or offensive.
