President's Message
Being Well
By Robert Rosborough
The California Lawyers Association has designated this week Well-Being Week in Law. Since all of April was poetry month (admittedly, not a CLA designation), having just a week of well-being seems to give short shrift to a critical issue but I still applaud the CLA for focusing on the issue. In fact, the CLA addresses mental health every year the first week in May to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month. If you click through to its Health and Wellness page, you’ll find some helpful resources, including several live webinars this week, as well as past webinars, articles, and further links.  More >

Volunteers Needed
Lawyers In The Library Returns! Volunteers needed Saturday, May 14

We welcome and need volunteers from many substantive areas: Family Law, Probate and other Estate Planning, Landlord/Tenant, General Civil (procedural questions, small claims, or general questions), and Employment. You’ll meet in a breakout room during a shift for a 20 minute consultations, and provide guidance or suggestions on next steps. There is no further obligation for representation of the persons you meet with.

This program has assisted hundreds of Marin County residents over the last SEVEN years and fills an important gap to provide access and information about the justice system in our community.

Please click the link below for times when you can volunteer, and thank you!

Help MCBA Fight Hunger in Marin
2022 FOOD FROM THE BAR CAMPAIGN

For over 30 years, the legal community has come together to help end hunger in San Francisco and Marin by supporting the SF-Marin Food Bank through their annual Food From the Bar campaign.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the Food Bank is facing an unprecedented challenge to support the growing number of neighbors who are facing food insecurity. The Food Bank is currently serving almost twice as many households compared to before the pandemic.

Please donate whatever you can to support our community. The easiest way to donate is directly through the link below, which will take you to the Marin County Bar Association’s contribution page.

Together we can help our most vulnerable neighbors.

Thank you so much for supporting the Food Bank during the 2022 Food From The Bar campaign!
