The MCBA Real Property Section will hold their next (August) virtual presentation, The Ultimate Residential Landlord Tenant Guide: Local and Statewide Moratoriums/Ordinances, Rent Limitations, and Practice Tips! on Wednesday, August 24th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. As this will be a Zoom 'Meeting' your video will appear on screen in a little box.

The MCBA Real Property Section will hold a virtual round table discussion about residential landlord-tenant legal issues and updates. The Panel of Speakers includes landlord and tenant attorneys with expertise in the field.

Her clientele ranges from Marin County’s largest property managers and real estate developers to individual property owners and trustees. Len Rifkind is the principal of the Rifkind Law & Mediation, PC, whose practice areas include: acting as a neutral in real estate related mediations and arbitrations matters, real property transactions and related litigation and land use. His practice includes representing landlords in residential and commercial eviction matters. Len has been selected to Northern California Super Lawyers (2012-2022) for real property. He is a past president of the Marin County Bar Association (2005), served on the Larkspur City Council from 2009-2013 (Mayor 2012), and president of the Marin County Council of Mayors and City Councilmembers (2013). Len is also a principal and general counsel with Grand Partners, LLC, a real estate development company specializing in acquiring “value add” and environmentally contaminated commercial properties.

Before starting his private practice, David worked as a housing attorney for Bay Area Legal Aid (ten years) and Legal Aid of Marin (four years). David practices in Marin, Contra Costa, and Alameda Counties, and has served for four years on the California Judicial Council Committee for Promoting Access and Fairness in state court proceedings.

Vince DeMartini has practiced law for over 40 years in Marin County. Initially with a practice that assisted businesses and later Vince expanded his practice into the area of real estate. He is now one of Marin County's preeminent legal authorities in business, real estate, property management and landlord- tenant disputes. Vince was awarded an AV rating, the highest possible, for skill and ethics, by Martindale-Hubbell, Inc.

Vince’s expertise is centered in real estate and business litigation with emphasis on property management and landlord/tenant issues, evictions, contract disputes, easement/title disputes, defense of landlords in general liability claims, Department of Fair Employment and Housing discrimination claims, Americans With Disabilities Act claims, premises liability claims, and mold and toxic issues. He also has extensive experience in collection matters.

Derek is the principal of Law Offices of Derek A. Weller specializing in real estate transactions, land use and development, Map Act and subdivisions, and general business transactions and entity formations. He is a graduate of University of California Davis and received his law degree from Hastings College of the Law. Derek is the co-chair of the Real Property Section of the Marin County Bar Association.
