CA Metro Bar Associations International CLE Trip

May 10-18, 2023

We need a minimum group of 20 required to go forward with the International CLE trips. Registration Deadline February 28

MCBA will be joining CA Metro Bar Associations inviting you and your guest(s) to join the delegation for a journey through Portugal's Old World allure and New World splendor, exploring Lisbon and Northern Portugal's rich cultural delights, diverse wines, and vibrant culinary scenes.
The immersive program will engage with local scholars, attorneys, musicians and artists offering poignant commentary on the Portuguese and EU legal and political systems, US-Portuguese relations, art, history, architecture, and religion.

"This trip was AMAZING. Our guide Hugh was very well informed. An additional bonus is that is he is a former Ambassador to Uruguay so he skillfully handled the many questions from our group of (primarily) lawyers. Dani, the tour group owner (himself a lawyer) planned the most amazing CLE sessions - everything from a private guided tour of the House of Advocates to an evening spent with 2 women (QC Claire Mitchell and writer Zoe Venditozzi) seeking pardons for those women burned as witches under the Witches Act of 1563-1736.
